Men’s Fitness triathlon guide

Men’s Fitness triathlon guide Ab zum Triathlon (October to November 2011)

Over 160 pages, the triathlon handbook shares insights into athletes’ current state of training and accompanies them through every step – or lap – of their development.

For the German version, this meant that the content had to appeal not only to inexperienced newcomers to triathlon wishing to complete the sprint distance but also to seasoned asphalt cowboys and veteran open water navigators who already train 15 hours a week. I opted for an inspiring, youthful, clearly comprehensible and descriptive style as well as a rhythm attuned to the endurance sport. The style had to be a little more reserved and have less punch than something like a fitness or workout guide: while fitness magazine aficionados expect to be whipped into shape by instructors who turn up the heat from the get-go, endurance athletes desire a step-by-step guide to set them on the right track.

Incendiary Ideas

HAZARDOUS TO DRY CONTENT

From apps to brochures to websites: incendiary copy and translations spread like wildfire. Ideas this catching are a hazard to tinder-dry content of all kinds. As soon as they set eyes on it sparks will fly, spreading uncontrollably to your readers and users.
